Creekwalk Inn at Whisperwood Farm offers rooms and cabins with a rustic national park theme. The Main Log Lodge features cathedral ceilings and rooms with private baths, paddle fans, and quilt-topped beds. Guests have access to 50 acres of grounds and hiking maps for the Great Smoky Mountains trails. The Cades Cove room includes a tree bed, shower bath, stereo, and a covered porch overlooking the farm. The Greenbrier Pinnacle room has a tree bed, Jacuzzi tub/shower combination, a desk, a rocking chair, and knotty pine decor. The Albright Trail room offers a king-sized bed, creek view, a large Jacuzzi tub, and access to a private hot tub and campfire area. The Gypsy Wagon Cabin has a queen-sized bed, kitchenette, a full bathroom with a shower, and mountain views from a private hot tub and fire pit. The Mt. Cammerer Suite includes king-sized bunk beds, a private hot tub, a private bathroom with tub/shower, and an outside entrance.
Dining Experience
Guests can savor a gourmet breakfast at the main lodge or on their private porch, with options for vegan, gluten-free, and vegetarian meals upon request. The inn uses local produce, with ingredients from Carver's Orchard (2 miles away) and its own garden. The most famous entree is a sausage roll with local sausage, cream cheese, and apple or sweet potato butter. The chef, Janice, studied at the Santa Fe School of Cooking, and offers original dishes and favorites like strawberry crepes and sweet rolls. Summer breakfasts are served outdoors. The inn offers craft beers, homemade Kombucha, appetizers, salads, entrees, pasta with homemade marinara sauce, steaks, blackened chicken, and fresh-caught trout smoked over hickory and oak. A 7-course dinner is available for $79 per person (steaks $11 extra), with advance reservation. Simple hiking lunches with wildflower honey and nut spread sandwiches are available. Guests can bring their own wines.
Leisure Activities
Creekwalk Inn offers activities for adventure, relaxation, and romance. Adventure seekers can request trail lunches, wade in the trout stream, try flyfishing, climb Mount Camerer, raft down the Pigeon River, or snow-ski in winter. To reach the inn from Gatlinburg, take 321 North past Cobbly Knob to a "T" at Cosby Post Office, then follow approximately 6 miles to Sonoco Station. Whisperwood Farm is on the left.
